Aplastic Anemia Site

by brendan on 08/27/2005

I’m working on a site that will have information about Aplastic Anemia, if not just a directory of worthwhile links and my account of dealing with the condition. It is in progress, but please check it out and let me know what you think. The site also includes links to the pictures I took of the hospital, myself, the drugs, etc.

Wow. I can’t believe all this has happened in the short time I was gone.

I am sooo sorry you are going through all this.

I am at a loss for words.

You know Butterscotch is upset when she is at a loss for words.

I will keep you in my prayers.

    B.

PS Thanks for posting the pics and the info. They helped explain things, which is great, seeing as how I have never heard of this condition before.

I’m sorry to hear of everything that has happened, but glad you are doing better, and know what is wrong. Stay well!

Thanks for the kind words, guys! And Butterscotch, the other patients from the oncology floor (the ones who actually have cancer) and the people you should really be praying for. My condition is nothing compared to what they are battling, day in and day out. Compared to them, mine is more of a little skirmish. A slight sortie, if you will.

If I can contrast most of what seems like pity, I must say you’re holding up damn fine! If anything puts me at a loss for words, it’s how UN-sick you are. Even NKI commented that you weren’t what he expected, given your condition. He also said you would be a person he could really see himself getting along with, though I’ve never heard anyone say otherwise.

I forgot to add that my aunt works at St.Johns! IN ICU, which hopefully you will NEVER see. I definitely pray for those in the cancer wards. My aunt was diagnoces with hodgkins, and mom mom has skin cancer…

    Will do!

Odd how the people in my blog world kind of feel like some sort of other family.

Is FFF a 666 reference? If so, cute. That’s great.

I just typed the most eloquent thing I ever thought of, and it got erased before I posted it because I’m a moron.

My point was that you exhibit a type of strength that makes a person humbled to even have heard about you. I hope that makes you uncomfortable. The sincerity only deepens any sentiment like that. HA! A trap. God, I’m a nerd. This is way worse than the last post.

The first post had a long contrast paragraph about what your demonstration of character was NOT like. It was great, let me tell you.
