Day 5! The final day. We stopped for lunch at an In-N-Out Burger in Fresno. I had heard positive things about this place from friends and in the media, so I wanted to give it a try. I ordered a #2; a cheeseburger, fries, and drink. The burger was one of the best fast food burgers I’ve ever had, hands down. The fries weren’t great, but I’d eat them again in a heartbeat if it means I got another cheeseburger with them.

A little research afterwards revealed that In-N-Out makes everything from scratch, and all made to order. And they only have three menu items: burgers, fries, and drinks. The company is private (family-owned), and all locations are company-owned (non-franchised). I’m sold! Maybe if I keep posting glowing reviews on my blog, they’ll decide to open a location in Eugene…

Did you order your burger animal style? Or something like that … first time I went, luckily I was with a local. You order it in different styles to get different toppings – pickles, onions, etc. Also, the fries are better if you get those with toppings too. Very good burgers regardless, though!
